Assessment of company policies and commitments related to obesity prevention and nutrition.
A first-of-its-kind project, led by GLOBE researcher Gary Sacks and co-ordinated by Ella Robinson, assessed Australian food and beverage manufactures on their policies and commitments related to obesity prevention and nutrition. The report, launched on 26 March 2018, assessed company policies across six key public health action areas, including marketing to children, product formulation and nutrition labelling, and identified priority recommendations across the sector. The report identified there is considerable room for improvement for all companies.
