Food systems are a major driver of climate change, biodiversity loss, depletion of freshwater resources and pollution of waterways.

Unhealthy food systems, dominated by the supply and marketing of unhealthy foods and beverages, are also major drivers of unhealthy diets and obesity.

As part of societal efforts to improve the healthiness and environmental sustainability of food systems, investors can play a key role in driving change.

In two newly launched Findings Briefs, developed in conjunction with the University of Melbourne, researchers from GLOBE explored ways in which major institutional investors and asset managers in Australia are responding to the need to improve the healthiness and environmental sustainability of food systems.
